Fans Help Make Christmas Toy Drive A Massive Success

Fans of Motherwell and Celtic put football rivalries to one side last night as the MFC Podcast held their second annual Christmas Toy Drive held with support from the Motherwell FC Community Trust and The Well Society.

Such was the response of both sets of supporters, a hospitality box at Fir Park was completely filled by the fantastic gifts donated and while it was almost impossible to calculate just how many toys were donated, organisers estimate the donations easily surpassed 500 toys.

The toys will now be delivered to North Lanarkshire Council and the Salvation Army’s Christmas Toy Appeal’s, before being distributed to children in Lanarkshire and the surrounding areas.

MFC Podcast host Andy Ross said: “We’ve had an overwhelming response to our Christmas Toy Drive again this year. We hope in organising this event we have made a small contribution to making Christmas a happier time for children in the local area who may otherwise have woken up without a gift on Christmas morning.

“Thank you to everyone who came along and donated – your generosity has been incredible.”

Fans can still donate toys until Tuesday of next week at the MFC Community Trust offices, please contact 01698 239926 for further information.

Final Chance To Get Our In-Demand Book

Due to overwhelming demand we have requested a final run of copies of MFC Podcast ‘Off-Air’ from the printers.

These copies are on sale now – HERE – this is your last chance to get your hands on this unique piece of MFC memrobillia featuring interviews with the likes of James McFadden, Willie Pettigrew, Louis Moult, Tommy Coyne and many, many more.

It’s been a fairly hectic weekend following the arrival of the books from the printers on Friday afternoon, but every bit of it has been absolutely worth it.

Between Saturday and this afternoon Sparra has been delivering across Lanarkshire to as many people as humanly possible – at 5pm on Monday we are pleased to report that all copies are in the post or have been delivered.

The intention was to try get to the Glasgow orders yesterday, but time ran out, these have been posted first-class this morning and will arrive Tuesday/Wednesday latest – sorry folks but it will be worth the wait we promise.

Feedback on the book has been incredible – thanks to everyone who has sent us a message, it’s brilliant to see people are enjoying it.

Most importantly we’ve broken our £1,000 target – this will make a great difference to Imogen, Bruce and Sarah – this couldn’t have been achieved without your fantastic support – we can’t thank you all enough.

Cheers and here’s the link again to buy your copy of the book – Purchase MFC Podcast ‘Off-Air’
